Dr. Darryn Band

Dr. Darryn Band began practicing obstetrics and gynecology in 1993. The practice was initiated by his father, Dr. Bernard A. Band, and his partners in 1966. Dr. Band strives to continue their legacy in a friendly, yet professional nature in providing women’s health care with both care and compassion. Dr. Band’s goal during consultations is to assist his patients to build a routine that allows them to better prepare for a successful pregnancy and childbirth. He also feels quite fortunate to provide care for women at all stages of life with a special interest in high-risk pregnancies, minimally invasive surgery, infertility, and menopause.
A graduate of Tulane University and the University of Maryland Medical School, Dr. Band received his residency training at the Medical College of Virginia/VCU. He has been married to his wife Wendy for over 25 yrs. They are empty nesters. College graduates Jake and Austin are out in the business world, while daughter Elizabeth is attending Lehigh University.
