The American Breast Cancer Foundation’s Education & Patient Advocacy Program is built on meaningful, one-on-one relationships. Our team works directly with individuals to help them navigate their breast health journey and access essential resources, services, and support.

Serving as a trusted link and referral hub, the program connects individuals with local and regional services tailored to their unique position. In addition to addressing basic and medical needs, we help individuals find resources that support recovery, healing, and quality of life after breast cancer surgery, including:

  • Prosthesis fittings and post-mastectomy products
  • Hair replacement services and wig banks
  • Nutritional counseling and wellness support
  • Peer-led and professionally facilitated support groups
  • Physical and occupational therapy for treatment-related rehabilitation
  • Post-surgical support and rehabilitation
  • Referrals for living expenses, medical expenses, transportation, and legal services

Through this work, the program not only supports patients in the moment, but also strengthens breast cancer prevention and awareness.

As an extension of this program, we also provide educational resources and engage in strategic brand partnerships to help promote education and awareness surrounding breast cancer prevention, extend ABCF’s reach, deepen community involvement, and connect more people with the care and information they need.
