Shekima has shared 19 years (and counting) of career experience with negotiating and managing the development of contract life cycles across business spectrums, including – Healthcare, Business and the Insurance industry.
Her extensive background of contract management as well as data integrity allows Shekima to provide excellent support for innovative approaches and best practices for any organization/company.
Her most notable tenure of 14 years was given to NYC Health + Hospital Corp – split between Cumberland Diagnostic & Treatment Center, Woodhull Hospital and MetroPlus (NYC’s Health Insurance). While there, Shekima dedicated her time and positive energy to volunteering during hospital events that catered to the surrounding communities – it was a great way to connect with the patients, their families and friends and to actually listen to their concerns and provide them with a sense of comfort regarding their healthcare team.
Shekima takes great pride in graduating from an HBCU (Historically Black College & University) – the illustrious Virginia State University (VSU) in Petersburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
