Mammograms        

A mammogram is an x-ray picture of the breast. It can detect lumps in your breast that you may not be able to see or feel.  After the age of 40, a women should start having a mammogram done annually. 

According to the World Health Organization, mammography is the most effective screening method for breast cancer.  Mammography has also helped reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer in women ages 40-70.  If you are a woman, 40 years old or older, you should have a mammogram done every year.
