The Board members of the American Breast Cancer Foundation were selected based on their areas of expertise, their education, and, most importantly, for their passion for decreasing mortality rates from breast cancer for all who need assistance. The primary responsibility of the Board is to keep the organization on track regarding: strategic planning, policy (development, oversight, and management), budgeting, and fundraising. We are proud and appreciative of our dedicated Board of Directors!
All newly elected board members must complete, sign, and submit to the Foundation Counsel a Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement which specifies that no compensation was received as an officer or other employee of the organization and identifies to the best of the director’s knowledge, any entity of which such director or an Affiliated Person is an officer, director, trustee, member, owner(either as a sole proprietor or a partner), or employee, and with which the Foundation has a relationship, and any transaction or potential transaction in which the Foundation is a participant and in which the director might have a conflicting interest. Foundation Counsel shall submit the Disclosure Statements from all directors to the Auditor on an annual basis.
