5,000 Mammograms by Mother’s Day

One in eight women will be affected by breast cancer in her lifetime. When caught in its earliest stages, breast cancer is almost 100% curable. Tragically, uninsured and underserved women across the country still struggle to afford basic early detection care that could save their lives.

This spring, honor the special women in your life by joining us for our 5,000 Mammograms by Mother’s Day campaign.

This new campaign, formed in collaboration with the Celebrating Life Foundation, will raise vital funding for ABCF’s Breast Cancer Assistance Program. The goal: raise enough money to cover the cost of 5,000 mammograms for clients in need. To date, ABCF has issued over 47,000 grants to help those in need of early detection services. This targeted campaign will allow us to serve thousands more. Please join us in this vital push to fund our Breast Cancer Assistance Program and encourage women of every status to be proactive and get checked.

“We very much appreciate ABCF’s support for our work and hope that we will be able to continue together in this effort to make potentially life-saving preventive health care available to women in need in our communities. We were also very pleased that ABCF’s CEO was able to attend our National Capital Area regional event celebrating innovation in breast health care and to accept the Mammography Funding Award for ABCF.

“Without the Breast Cancer Assistance Program, I wouldn’t have been able to afford a mammogram. Thank you!”

“I give much, much thanks to ABCF. I am so grateful! I don’t have medical insurance and I haven’t had a mammogram in a long, long time; I couldn’t afford it. I had tried other sources over 8 years. I have been so worried not being able to get one that by the time I got one, it would be too late. But thanks to ABCF, I was able to get a mammogram screening with the grant ABCF gave to me. Thank you, Glory be to God!”

“Through the generous support of the American Breast Cancer Foundation, the Task Force is able to increase access to quality breast health care for underserved women. Your support has helped us increase our capacity to serve more women and save more lives through screening and early detection. As someone who has been personally impacted by breast cancer and the unnecessary loss of a loved one due to inequitable care, please know that your support is invaluable.”
